Due Diligence
Raintree Financial Solutions expects performance from business associates, and likewise our clients should expect performance from us. Our highest priority is doing all we can to protect your investments through an extensive due diligence process involving hiring third parties to conduct thorough reviews and provide reporting and then having those findings verified.
We have a comprehensive risk mitigation process in place to help protect investor capital. Raintree reviews all new products internally. Those that show promise and appear aligned with our values (i.e. investors receive priority treatment in the profit structure), undergo a more rigorous internal review. Those products, which then still appear to be a good fit for our product shelf, are sent for an independent third party review. We use experts in this area and they in turn, rely on a highly competent staff with deep knowledge in many fields. After we receive their written report, we again do an in-depth internal analysis. Then, and only then, do we make the decision whether to offer the product through Raintree Financial Solutions.
Raintree Financial Solutions is not financially tied to any of the products we offer. Every investment we market is a third party offering. This prevents any conflict of interest in the promotion of the products we offer as every product is based on its merit, not because of added incentives to promote it.
Through the process of due diligence we look at:
- OM Review: An Offering Memorandum Review is conducted to ensure that all information is legally accurate and to identify any gaps in the information provided.
- Flow of Funds: Accountants comb financial reports from product providers for fiscal responsibility and to ensure appropriate procedures to prevent misuse or misallocation of capital.
- Background Checks: Principals undergo criminal background checks as well as industry reputation checks.
- Tax Consequence: The tax consequences and liability opinions of the product are verified and any additional risks are catalogued.
- Investor alignment.
